Expressions Card Kiosks is excited to announce that in Q4 2025 they will be upgrading all of their existing greeting card and gift card machines to have a full bilingual user experience. In response to the growing interest from the Hispanic community, Expressions is proud to offer Spanish-speaking customers the opportunity to create personalized greeting cards in their native language. Currently, Expressions’ kiosks offer some capabilities in Spanish with the ability to select a Spanish keyboard to create custom messaging in Spanish. “We knew this option wasn’t going to be enough eventually,” said Jarrad Duxbury, CEO of Expressions Kiosks. “It’s one thing to be able to write whatever messaging you want, in whatever language you want, in one of our greeting cards; however, that doesn’t help the native Spanish speaker that needs the entire user experience to be in Spanish to complete the purchase.”
The greeting and gift card kiosks already have an existing Spanish language card category with numerous options like birthdays, weddings, quinceañeras, and more. They are moving quickly to develop a larger selection of major categories in Spanish language card designs, in particular the holiday categories. They’re also expanding selections within existing categories right now. “While there isn’t exact data on Hispanic customers purchasing greeting cards, we currently estimate that it is about 10% of sales. We think it could be higher if there were more products available on the market,” said George Caruso, CTO of Expressions Kiosks.
Expressions will not just be stopping at expanding their kiosks’ language abilities at Spanish either. There is already a French keyboard option that was initially developed for the Quebec market in Canada . Soon the French options will be expanded as well.
“We currently have over 8,000 customizable card templates available at our greeting card kiosks, but we need more,” said Jarrad Duxbury, CEO of Expressions Kiosks. The number one problem cited in consumer surveys regarding greeting cards is that the consumer didn’t think the card had the exact messaging they wanted. In the digital era, consumers expect complete customization of their greeting and gift cards. That definitely includes the language they speak and designs that reflect their cultural and life experience. That’s why Expressions is relentlessly focused on developing more card categories targeting other languages and cultures as well as building the multi-language options for the entire user experience.”
Expressions expects the demand for more variety and options regarding languages other than English to keep increasing and will continue to meet those demands. Expressions has eight projects currently in development, with goals of upgrading their kiosks software over the next 12 months to meet these consumer expectations.
