AWG takes advantage of ETGreen

-

Executive Travel, AWG’s partner in managing business travel, launched a campaign in which the agency will plant a tree for every airline ticket purchased, until one million are planted. Starting in July of 2021, this initiative to offset carbon footprints from air travel started in Lincoln, Nebraska and is continuing into other parts of the Midwest.

Travel itself does cause a carbon footprint and that carbon footprint obviously has long-term effects on the environment, and we want to make sure that we can do our part.

Executive Travel Chairman, Steve Glenn

According to tenmilliontrees.org, one tree absorbs 48 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

Executive Travel planted just over 50,000 trees in 2022 and have pledged between 75,000 and 100,000 for 2023. In 2021 Executive Travel planted 1,369 trees on behalf of AWG and in 2022 1,704. AWG is proud to do business with companies that are striving to make the world more sustainable.
