The Best Choice brand family is getting another member. Positioned as an elevated tier offering, Best Choice Superior Selections brand items will help consumers elevate their everyday meals at a price that feels just right.
“This brand offers something a little different for the consumer. Best Choice Superior Selections are still mainstream types of items, however, these items are a step up from our current offerings,” said Gregory Shotkoski, AWG Brands Executive Director.
An upper tier offering in private brands has been offered by AWG competitors for years, including Kroger‘s Private Selection and Aldi’s Specially Selected brands. With the introduction of Best Choice Superior Selections, AWG Brands enables AWG member retailers to compete for the consumers looking for delicious products that complement their favorite recipes, add a touch of something special to weeknight dinners, or provide a sweet treat to end their day.
Best Choice Superior Selections items will cross multiple product categories including dry grocery, frozen and dairy. Some of the early items member retailers can find already available to order are seasonal baking mixes, chocolate barks, balsamic vinegars and glaze, shelled and unshelled frozen edamame, stuffed olives, honeys, pure maple syrup and fry sauce. More than 100 products are in the development pipeline to be released in 2021 and member retailers can expect these items to be seasonal, internationally-influenced, or include unique packaging and ingredients.
“We’ve identified the more unique items than your typical national brand equivalent item to include in the Best Choice Superior Selections line,” said Shotkoski.
