Best Choice® and Clearly by Best Choice™ were recently honored with 2023 American Package Design Awards from Graphic Design USA. The two award-winning designs were created by Daymon Creative Services, AWG Brands’ partner in packaging development.  

The two winners included the Best Choice® Kettle Chips and the entire Clearly by Best Choice™ line redesign. The new kettle chips were launched in late 2022 and feature Best Choice®’s rebranded center store look. The packaging builds cohesion and brand awareness through consistent designs that add personality to each product through colors and font selection. The Clearly by Best Choice™ packaging redesign calls out the “free from” nature of the brand since all food products are free from artificial flavors and synthetic colors. Through a natural and consistent color palette and a focus on claims and health benefits, communication of the brand promise sits at the forefront of the new design and maximizes brand recognition.

The time is right for private brands! In today’s uncertain economic times, consumers are seeking value every day. According to the 2024 “Power of Private Brands” study by FMI - The Food Industry Association, 94% of shoppers purchase store brands at least occasionally. In addition, 55% of shoppers have been purchasing more private brands over the past year, compared to only 28% purchasing more manufacturer brands.
