There have been many things that have been said to run America, but when you get down to it, that substance might actually be coffee. The ubiquitous brown bean liquid has millions upon millions of fans in the U.S. For those grocery retailers with a coffee vendor or coffee shop in their location, they know that it can be a great draw to bring customers in the door.
But when partnering with some of the large or even smaller coffee shop brands, it’s not always easy or profitable for the retailer. That’s why AWG’s Deli/Bakery team has been able to work to provide options for member retailers that can get them in the coffee game in a very short time and get profitable fairly quickly.
Mother Earth Coffee has come to the table with a Roaster’s Mobile Kiosk that may be the fastest a coffee shop can go up. The mobile kiosk is 9-feet long, 9-feet wide and 9.5 feet tall. It’s a great looking kiosk that is similar to ones featured in many grocery stores. It has a metal construction, under-counter ice bin, small refrigerator, hand and work sink, open ceiling with recessed LED lighting, quartz countertop and built-in hot water heater.
The Roaster’s Mobile Kiosk is also great because it comes on heavy-duty casters and can be installed in three hours or less. So literally overnight, grocery retailers can begin selling Mother’s Earth Coffee to their coffee-fanatic customers.
An estimated return on investment shows that an average of 150 customers per day at $5 per customer would make the kiosk profitable by more than $17,000 in just the first year, even with accounting for the initial investment, product and labor.
To be sure, the coffee love is not dying down with the younger generation. As of 2018, about half of 18-to-24-year-olds drank coffee. That number will only go up as they get older, as well. Overall, 41 percent of U.S. drink specialty coffee drinks every day. There’s plenty more that buy it several times per week. Does your store have a way to attract those customers?
For those stores with a Deli/bakery that needs something less than a full kiosk, Mother Earth also offers four options to choose from to provide coffee for customers. There are both shuttle and airpot brewers that can really enhance what is already being done in your deli/bakery currently. These are turnkey products that take minimal amounts of labor and upkeep.
One of the best parts of being involved in this coffee program through AWG is that you have the support and backing of AWG and its team of support staff to ensure your investment in coffee pays off quickly for you.
