September is National Family Meals Month™

-

September is National Family Meals Month™, an industrywide movement to raise awareness of the benefits of frequent family meals. Each year, FMI and AWG Brands work collaboratively with retailers to bring families back to the table to share one more meal at home per week.

Whether you have a robust family meals program in place, or you’re just getting started, there’s a way to bring the family meals movement to your shoppers. Here’s how AWG Brands celebrated National Family Meals Month™ in September 2022.

AWG Brands participates each year in National Family Meals Month on two levels:

  • By providing content and marketing support for member retailers to utilize.
  • Providing direct-to-consumer content on the AWG Brands’ consumer-facing platforms.

RETAILER MARKETING

Marketing opportunities and the FMI resources were communicated through email communication, sales team communication, and through the AWG member retailer intranet (StoreFront) in preparation for Family Meals Month.

Marketing resources available to retailers include:

  • Themed Supplemental Ad
  • 4-ft end cap with matching signage
  • Social media content & graphics
  • Graphics for traditional ads and website banner ads

Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is an ancient Mexican holiday that dates back more than 3,000 years. It celebrates the lives of deceased loved ones and welcomes their souls for a brief reunion. Altars or memorials are often created with photos, favorite foods, candies, drinks, and candles to honor those who have passed away.
